Internal Debate

A common topic of conversation at the occasional family gatherings is whether the dynasty should reprimand those members who associate themselves with what are euphemistically referred to as “the more anti-consensus factions”. Certain members of the family appear to have difficulty understanding that some acts committed by the more fanatical believers can result in considerable harm to the population at large.

Despite this debate, it has been a long standing family policy that individual members of the family be allowed to act upon their own conscience so long as they act to better humanity as a whole and not themselves individually. It is generally accepted that both Marcus and The Dowager (whomever she may be) are acting, in their own minds at least, in keeping with family philosophy.

Potential Threat

Deuce Bouillon is said to be a ranking member of the Cosa Nostra. There is no definitive proof, but if this is true the view of the family is that the situation cannot be allowed to continue. The Cosa Nostra are thugs of the lowest order and the family name cannot be associated with them. It is widely acknowledged that any revelations as to Deuce's affiliations could be seriously damaging politically, and the other families would jump at the chance to smear the Bouillon name if it meant more of the pie for them.

Family members are encouraged to have a “chat” with Deuce so that this matter is cleared up expediently.

Even more privately, it is mentioned that the Bouillon family is the only one of the three great dynasties to have distanced themselves from the Cosa Nostra, and that perhaps the situation may present an advantage of sorts.
