The Higher Echelons

The Salamaris are nothing if not driven in the pursuit of their goals. Various Salamaris characters are working to various aims. These include:

Disrespect for the family [New turn 4]

Let it all be known that one Callie Blue has attempted to assault a long standing servant of the family, and was only foiled when she realised he was telepresencing. All should ensure that she is aware that such things will not stand in polite society.

A note from Adagio Salamaris [New turn 2]

It has been brought to my attention that a number of our younger family members have been poisoned recently. They are all expected to make a full recovery. I have been passed information as to whom the guilty party is and will be ensuring appropriate actions are taken.

Note that the guilty party is not in any way linked to House Viteri, and anybody seeking revenge there will have to answer to me. Instead we should be thankful that this struck at an appropriate time to ensure that recent arrests for brawling are disproportionately besmudging Viteri honour and not our own.

Maintaining The Line

A closely-guarded secret within the family is that over the years a striking number of family members have been born with or developed a rare form of ossification - where bone tissue is laid down between joints, causing them to seize up. In recent years this has become more problematic and while there's little they can do to help those already afflicted beyond treatment, word is circulating around the family that it may be necessary to find a way to stop it passing down the line any further.

Of course what this entails, exactly, is unknown. Certainly it's not been a topic of polite conversation, and the Salamaris as yet do not have the contacts in Health to convince them to devote precious time and resources to the problem.

That which was a problem, but is no more.

Thicker Than Water [Updated Turn 2]

The Salamaris and the Viteris rarely get on at the best of times, but lately tensions have grown. Slights imagined and real have led to confrontations here and there, and it is not necessarily safe to walk into the wrong bar or down the wrong corridors at night if you are a member of either family.

The high-ups of both families are reportedly looking for a way to defuse the tensions, but hot-headed youngsters from both sides are very willing to provoke and be provoked. The situation could boil over at any moment if it is not brought under control.

Following a series of arrests by Harmony on the Viteri side and some stern words to the ones responsible on ours, the tensions between the families have reduced to more “normal” levels.
