John White's involvement in the Inversion is often greatly understated. It was due to his efforts that Toroid 6 was located when it was, and that a large amount of the equipment required for the Inversion was located and tested.
That he died in the way he did will always be a testament to the concern of cybernetic implants and the effects of wireless technology on BOBs, but he will most certainly not be forgotten. John White to this day still holds the greatest callout to point ratio on the BOB Herding league tables (1:120) and holds the record for locating the oldest BOB serial number on the ship.
